Sara Jordan Watts, 92, of Quinby, SC, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016.

Mrs. Watts was born in Florence, a daughter of the late Preston Chesley Jordan and Mary Purvis Jordan. She worked with Jack’s Soda Shop and was a homemaker. She loved her flowers and tending her garden. Mrs. Watts was a member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving are her children, Joyce Watts Gibson and Freddie Wailen Watts, both of Florence; grandchildren, Shelley Gibson Drulard of Mt. Pleasant and Allison Watts Bilton of Summerville; seven great-grandchildren, Benjamin Drulard, Meredith Drulard, William Drulard, McKinley Bilton, Elena Watts Bilton, Katherine Gibson and Olivia Gibson; brothers, Ellis Jordan, Charles Jordan, Preston “Pete” Jordan; half-brothers, Dudley Jordan, Fulton Jordan; sister, Virginia Rogers; beloved sister-in-law, Willie Jordan; special nephew and niece, Sammy (Carol) Jordan and Deborah Long; and a number of other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Wailen Watts; five brothers and a sister.

The family would like to thank the wonderful people who helped care for Mrs. Watts in such a loving way which includes Cherie Springs, Cheryl Roth, Danny Roth, Willis Groover, Jacob Springs, Pat Morgan, Amber Springs, Brandon Chapman and Noah Springs and also her friends, Wilbur Laberne and Margaret Brown.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, 2016, at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.

Family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
