She was born on November 5, 1932, daughter of the late Preston Chesley and Mary Purvis Jordan.
Mrs. Rogerson was preceded in death by her first husband, James Elvin Watson; brothers James Charles Jordan, Robert Ellis Jordan, Preston C. Jordan, Jr., Fulton McLeod Jordan and George Dudley Jordan; and her mother-in-law, Mildred M. Rogerson.
Surviving are her loving husband of 47 years, Robert "Bobby" C. Rogerson; son James C. Watson and daughter-in-law Jill of Lake Wylie, SC; daughters, Debbie A. Watson, Ginny W. Willcox and son-in-law Hugh, all of Florence; granddaughter Dr. Kelly Watson Hurst and her husband Jonathan; grandson John Joseph Greenan III; great-granddaughter Jane Elizabeth Hurst; sister Sara J. Watts of Quinby, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Rogerson was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and Past Worthy Matron of Lenora Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. A devoted homemaker, her life centered around her family as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 22, 2009, in Calvary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the home, 1855 Devonshire Drive, Florence, SC.
