Adalaide S. Garrard, daughter of Harry and Mary Schulin, she was widowed, lived in rural Sugarcreek Twp, Venango Co, PA, died there of cancer of the bowel, per death certificate 17338, whose informant was H. C. Garrard of Sugarcreek. Buried Mar 1 1921.

Franklin News-Herald, Monday, Feb 28 1921:
Mrs. William Garrard, 86 years and 5 months old, died at the home of her son, Harry C. Garrard, Sugarcreek, at 5:20 pm Sunday, after an illness of two weeks. Adelaide Schulen was born in Ipswich, England, September 6, 1835.

She came to Hamilton, Canada, with her husband in 1859, and after two years there, moved to Pittsburgh, them in 1874 to Franklin, where she lived since. She was a woman of lovable qualities, and during her lifetime enjoyed the acquaintanceship of many friends. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

She married William Garrard, who died June 23, 1918.

Surviving are three sons and two daughters, H. C. Garrard of Sugarcreek, Charles S. of Akron, E. J. of Point Richmond, CA, Mrs. Charles Hitchcock, and Mrs. John Van Delten of Chicago.

Services will be at 2 pm Tuesday at Harry's home with Rev. Dr. Norris A. White officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
