Wayne Cockrell was the son of William Clinton Cockrell (1889-1961) and Jessie Fae Shaw (1902-1988). Preceeded in death by his parents, sisters Juanita "Mitty" Cockrell Southard (1917-1943), Jennie Lee Cockrell (1927-1942) and brothers
William Enscel Cockrell (1919-1998), Floyd Cockrell (1920-1985), Leonard Cockrell (1922-2003).




PAMPA - Wayne Cockrell, 76, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Lonny Robbins, pastor of Trinity Fellowship Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Cockrell owned and operated Pampa Paint and Body for 25 years. He was a veteran of the Army. Survivors include his wife, Eulene; two daughters, Sharon Fick of Borger and Debbie Owens of Pampa; a son, Calvin Cockrell of Dallas; a stepdaughter, Kathy Harden of Clovis, N.M.; four stepsons, Norman Rexroat and Richard Rexroat, both of Amarillo, and Bill Rexroat and Jimmy Rexroat, both of Corpus Christi; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Alzheimer's Association, 2200 W. Seventh Ave., Amarillo, TX 79106. Amarillo Globe-News, June 18, 2004
