Arch Cahton Swearengin, 62, died Friday March 29 at the Community Hospital, Hot Springs. He was born at Millboro, a son of the late Charles W. and Fannie E. Swearengin. He is survived by his wife, Lizzie Sweare- gin; two sisters, Mrs. R.A. Loan, Millboro and Mrs. Amanda Houff, Washington; two brothers, Hugh Swearengin, Bacova, and Horace Swearengin, of Monterey. Funeral services were held Sunday from Chimney Run Church of the Brethren by the Rev. George Robertson. Burial was in the family cemetery.
