William (Wilford) M. Titus, well known and highly respected resident of Hickory Township, died at his home on the Sharon-Mercer Road at noon today, after a two week's illness due to a general breakdown. Mr. Titus was born and raised in Hickory Township. Most of his life was spent in the vicinity of Hermitage. He followed farming and was highly successful. He was a member of the Reformed Church of Sharpsville. Mr. Titus was twice married. His first wife was Matilda Alderman. His second wife was formerly Miss Angeline Moyer. Surviving are his widow and the following children: S. W. Titus of Pittsburgh, Earl, Clarence, George, Alvin, and Ralph Titus, Mrs. A. W. Milheim, Mrs. William Caldwell, and Mrs. Mead Sample. Two brothers; James and Isaiah Titus, and a sister Mrs. Margaret Everhart of Monticello, Iowa, also survive. [herald]
