Mildred was born June 16, 1927, in Pigeon, Michigan, daughter of David and Lydia (Shetler) Albrecht. On June 15, 1952, she was united in marriage to Maynard Rheinheimer; he preceded her in death on November 15, 2000.
Mrs. Rheinheimer was a homemaker as well as a store clerk, first working at Kline’s Department Store in Goshen, Indiana, and later at Polewach Store in Pigeon, where she worked for twenty-six years. She was a faithful member of the Pigeon River Mennonite Church; she sang in the Ladies Chorus, and was an active member of the Ladies Sewing Circle.
She is survived by her son Terry (Jill) Rheinheimer; daughter-in-law Debra Rheinheimer; granddaughters Candelien Rheinheimer, Amber (Mark) Kelley, Kristin (Andrew) Bartlett, and Alissa Rheinheimer; great-grandchildren Skyla, Summer, Lennon, Kieren, Stacia, and Storm; and sisters Gertrude (Reuben) Dietzel and Greta Albrecht. She was preceded in death by her son Kent Rheinheimer; her sisters Leona Albrecht, Ruth Gunden, and Vera Lyles; and her brother Clayton Albrecht. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
The funeral memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the Pigeon River Mennonite Church, with Rev. David T. Maurer officiating. Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Ladies Sewing Circle of Pigeon River Mennonite Church or to Hillside Terrace Retirement Community of Ann Arbor.
