Mrs. Mary (Eckert) Patton died at her home in Larkinburg at 2:30 yesterday p.m. She had lived in this community all of her life.
Mary was the daughter of Jacob and Julia (Gliem) Eckert. She was born near Arrington 2 Sep. 1861. She was united in marriage 2 Aug. 1878 to A.C. "Clabe" Patton. She was a devoted wife and mother and an inspiration to all around her. She possessed all of the Christian virtues.
Her surviving children are: Henry Patton, Wellesville; Nora Childers, Atchison; Jesse Patton, Emporia; Mrs. Susie Jones and Mrs. Anna Hale, both of Kansas City, Mo. and Boyd Patton of the home and two brothers, Jacob and John Eckert.
