He was born Jan. 21, 1921, in Columbia, Ky., to the late Nathan and Ermine Bryant. He married Margaret Crouch, and she preceded him in death on Nov. 30, 2004.
He is survived by three daughters, Beverly Bryant, Dianna (Fred) Fitzpatrick and Rebecca (Donald) Coy, all of Franklin; a brother, Garnett Bryant of Franklin; four grandchildren, Kennadawn Callahan, Vince Fitzpatrick, Jennifer Robertson and Amy Massinon; and five great-grandchildren, Summer Williams, Cieara Fitzpatrick, Harlee Fitzpatrick, Jackson Callahan and Brayden Fitzpatrick.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Forces, having served during World War II.
He owned Bryant's Barber Shop in Franklin for 55 years. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, where he was also a member of the choir, and Franklin American Legion Post 205. He enjoyed whittling.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Vandivier-Tudor Chapel, 951 N. Main St., Franklin. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery.
