Mrs. Anna Mary Elizabeth Boyd, 70, wife of James M Boyd, died at her home in Orrtanna this morning at 9:15 from the effects of two paralytic strokes. Mrs. Boyd suffered a slight stoke January 15, and a more severe attack last Sunday.
She was the oldest daughter of the late William H and Sara E Overholtzer Baker, and was born and always lived in Adams County.
Surviving besides her husband are five daughters, Mrs. Darwin Eyler and Mrs. CH Wolford, both of Orrtanna RD; Mrs. James McLaughlin, Gettysburg; Mrs. Paul K Deardorff, Orrtanna RD and Miss May L Boyd; at home; two sons, Irvin L Boyd, Girardstown, West Virginia, and Robert Boyd, Orrtanna; 27 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Three sisters, Mrs. EA Seabrook, Fairfield; Mrs. Elmer Rentzel, Mummasburg, and Mrs. George Hare, Mummasburg; and two brothers, Martin L Baker, Biglerville, and J Ross Baker, Haines City, Florida, also survive.
She was a member of Flohr's Lutheran Church.
Funeral services from the home Saturday afternoon at 2:00, the Rev. George B Ely officiating. Interment in the Fairfield cemetery.
