Graveside Services for Mozelle Lilley- Hall, 94, a long-time Dimmitt resident will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Memorial Services will be at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Dimmitt with the Reverend Jonathan Sullivan, pastor, officiating. Services are under the personal supervision of Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mrs. Hall passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 in Dimmitt.

Mozelle Lilley Armstrong was born on January 26, 1924, in Hall County to Johnny and Dovie (McCrary) Armstrong. She had been a lifetime resident of Castro County moving here with her family in 1926. She graduated from Dimmitt High School in 1942 and married her high school sweetheart, Roy Lilley in 1942. After Roy had served in the U.S. Army they were involved in farming for many years. Roy passed away in 1981. She married Paul Hall in 1992 and they enjoyed playing golf and traveling to many places to play. Paul passed away in 1994. She continued to play golf until the age of 85. Mozelle bowled for many years and also enjoyed playing 42 with friends at the Senior Citizens and Bonkos with her lady friends.

Mozelle was the office manager at the Federal Land Bank from 1966 until her retirement in 1987. She was a past member of the Board of Directors of the Dimmitt Country Club and the Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery Association. She continued doing volunteer work for the cemetery association taking care of the memorials for many years. She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Dimmitt and the Naomi Sunday School Class.

Mozelle is preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; a son, Dean; a grandson, Jason Dean; four brothers, Harold, C.J., Deward, and Sonny Armstrong; three sisters, Marie Marlar, Alene Lilley, and Nell Brooks.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Steffey and husband Mack of Dimmitt; one granddaughter, Leslie Coffman and husband Dave of Eric, Colorado; three great-grandchildren, Kayla, William, and Noland all of Eric, Colorado; one sister, Jo Mason and husband Lee of Wildorado, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, and friends that she loved dearly.
