Nell Brooks, 81, of Amarillo died Wednesday, June 3, 2015.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Hart Cemetery in Hart with Dick Marcear, pulpit minister of Church of Christ at The Colonies, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Nell was born Oct. 1, 1933, in Hart to Johnny and Dovie Armstrong. She was raised in Hart and graduated from Hart High School. Nell married Bobby Edd Brooks on May 25, 1952. They moved to Dimmitt, Plainview and then Amarillo in 1974. She was a member of Church of Christ at The Colonies.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Craig Brooks and Edward Kirk Brooks.

Survivors include a daughter, Teresa Brooks Clem of Fredericksburg; a son, Rick Don Brooks of Amarillo; two sisters, Mozelle Lilley of Dimmitt and Jo Mason of Wildorado; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
