Evelyn Kelley Cook, age 64, of 947 Starmount Avenue, N.W. died Monday, December 2, 1991. She was a charter member of Green Ridge Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Marvin L. (Pete) Cook; two sons, the Rev. A. Wayne Cook, Lynchburg; Dennis M. Cook, Roanoke; one daughter, Christi C. Vandegrift, Richmond; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Ruby E. Sole, Roanoke; one brother, Dennis R. Kelley, Springfield; three sisters, Ethel Altice, Daleville; Vivian Massie and Gayle Garcia, both of Bedford. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 1991 with Rev. J. Michael Palmer officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Green Ridge Baptist Church Building Fund. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday.
