When James Hennessy was born on February 12, 1910, in Pontypridd, Glamorgan, his father, Laurence, was 37 and his mother, Johanna, was 28. After moving to England in 1934, he married Marjorie Phyllis Humphreys around November 1935 in Brentford, Middlesex and they had four children together. His wife Marjorie Phyllis passed away on February 14, 1961, at the age of 43. They had been married 25 years. He then married Rosetta M Balmer and they had one son (Michael) together. James died on February 14, 1985, in Camberwell, London, at the age of 75 and was buried on Thursday, 21st February 1985.
