Graveside services for Mr. Horace Eugene Allred, 82, of Porterville, will be Thursday at 11 am in Bay Springs Baptist Cemetery with full military honors. Stephens Funeral Home of DeKalb is handling arrangements.
Mr. Allred passed away at his home Sunday.
He retired from the Navy as a Master Electrician and worked for National Homes and Boral Brick as an electrician.
Survivors include his wife Mary Allred; children Gloria Young (Bobby), Blane Allred (Helen), Raymond Allred (Shirley), Terry Cherry (Kate), Danny Cherry (Brenda) Jimmy Cherry (Barbara),
and Shamra Eubanks, nine grandchildren, host of great grandchildren, brothers Robert Allred (Claudia) and David Allred (Adeline).
He was preceded in death by his first wife Hazel; parents Armond and Irene and three siblings.
Visitation will be Wednesday 6p to 8p at Stephens Funeral Home of DeKalb.
