Hays -- Henrietta R. "Henny" Ross, 81, Hays, died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004, at Hays Medical Center. She was born Oct. 3, 1923, in Hays to John M. and Anna (Klaus) Eberle.

She married Wilfred Ross on Dec. 22, 1942, in Hays. He died April 6, 1974.

She worked at Ben Franklin for 24 years and was a Senior Companion for 14 years. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hays.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Galliardt and her husband, LeRoy, Hutchinson, and Janet McAdoo and her husband, Stewart, Russell; a sister, Doris Boos, Hays; five grandsons; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Leo and Robert Eberle, and two sisters, Mae Bender and Alice Cunningham.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church; burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays. A parish vigil service will be at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 20th and Pine. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the St. Joseph Catholic Church or for Masses.
