Mr. Voornees was the son of William A. and Sarah Wilson Voorhees. He was married to Elsie Brown in Dolgeville in 1921.
Mr. Voorhees operated a farm and sawmill in the Town of Oppenheim for the last 40 years.
Survivors in addition to his wife are two daughters, Miss Bertha Voorhees of Dolgeville, and Miss Erma Voorhees of Rome; one son, Ernest Voorhees of Oppenheim; one step-son, William Leavenworth of Colonie; one brother, Clarence Voorhees of Salisbury; three sisters, Mrs. Amy Fonda of Glen, Mrs. Nellie Brown, Dolgeville, and Mrs. Betty Caudy of Cornwall-on-Hudson; several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
