Born on November 26, 1922 in Strang, OK, she was the daughter of the late Nova and Rebecca (Wells) Johnson and she was the widow of James T. Mardis.
Cora was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Mechanicsburg. She was a member and past President of the Altrusa International of South Central PA. Cora loved to golf. She was a member of the West Shore Country Club and was a Women’s Club Champion.
She is survived by her son James T. Mardis, Jr., and his wife Shirley, of Mechanicsburg. Four grandchildren, Michelle St. Pierre, James T. Mardis, III, Jason Mardis, and Susan Gomez.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son, Robert B. Mardis, a brother, William Johnson, and two sisters, Opal Jones, and Nola Reep.
A viewing will be held on Thursday May 11, 2016 from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. in the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 400 E. Simpson St., Mechanicsburg. Burial will follow the mass in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill.
