Lona was the oldest daughter of Judge James Thomas BUTLER and Hester Ann MCCULLOUGH Butler.

In 1909, she married the Rev. Edward Edgerton BEAUCHAMP, a Methodist minister.

Together they had 4 children:

Helen Irene BEAUCHAMP Peterson
Diantha F. BEAUCHAMP Gossett
Edward Edgerton BEAUCHAMP Jr.

Lona's husband, Edward, was a Methodist minster for 50 years. After his retirement, he and Lona moved to Tuscon, Ariz. He died in 1959.

Wife of Retired Minister Dies

Mrs. Lona Beauchamp, 71, wife of the Rev. Edward E. Beauchamp, retired Methodist minster, died last night at her home in Tuscon, Ariz., where she and her husband had resided the past four years.

Funeral services will be held at the Sawin-Dyer chapel at 2pm Thursday, the Rev. J.J. Sterling officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery. The body is expected to arrive here Thursday morning.

She is survived by her husband, a sister-in-law Mrs. Carrie Hand of Kansas City, four children, and several grandchildren. At the time of his retirement, her husband had been a minister 50 years, and had served churches in many cities.

Sterling officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery. Mrs. Beauchamp died Sunday night at her home in Tuscon, Ariz. Besides her husband she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. John (Hester) Slocum, Scottsdale, Ariz., Mrs. Elton (Helen) Peterson, Colorado Springs, Mrs. Jerry (Diantha) Gossett, Burbank, Calif., a son, Edward E. Beauchamp Jr., Montebello, Calif., several grandchildren and a sister Mrs. Harry Allemon, Leavenworth. She was born in October 1884 and was married at Corning Dec. 1, 1909.
