Martin Luther Cook died Thursday (November 16, 1961) at the home of his nephew John Lay Jr. in Tremont, Illinois.

He was born on July 29, 1886 at Deer Creek, Illinois, a son of John Harmon Cook and Margaret Catherine (Roberson) Cook.

He married Mary Decker on March 4, 1927 in Princeton, Illinois.

Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Berryman; and four grandchildren, all of Mackinaw, Illinois.

His parents, a daughter, four brothers, and a sister preceded Mr. Cook in death.

He was a member of the Christian church at Macon, Georgia, and Emery-Whisler American Legion Post in Mackinaw, Illinois.

Mr. Cook, a retired railroad employee was a veteran of World War I.
