PRINCETON - Wilma Hazlett Caldwell, 91, of 816 Highland Ave., Princeton, died Wednesday, December 11, 1996, in a Princeton hospital. Born in Parkersburg, she was the daughter of the late W.W. and Eva Henson Hazlett. She retired from Santon’s Ladies Shop after 47 years of service. She was also a former telephone operator for the Virginian Railroad and with her late husband owned and operated Caldwell Apartments on Highland Avenue in Princeton. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Princeton where she served in the United Methodist Women, Donella John Group and the Cassidy-Pendleton Sunday School Class. She was also a member of Princeton Chapter 53, Order of The The Eastern Star. She had been a resident of Princeton since 1908 moving from Parkersburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, L. Clyde Caldwell, and three brothers, W.W. Hazlett, Jr., P.J. Hazlett and W.H. Hazlett. Survivors include: two nieces, Barbara Sheppard and her husband, Bill of Lerona and Karen Hash and her husband, Russell of St. Albans. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Rest-haven Park Cemetery in Princeton with Rev. Clifford Schell officiating. Friends may call at the George W. Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton from 10 a.m. to the service hour on Friday. Those attending the service are asked to be at the funeral home by 10:45 a.m. Friday.
