Robert L. (Bob) Myers, Sr., age 87, of Brumley, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Ozark Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage Beach, Missouri.

Bob was born September 2, 1927 in Ulman, Missouri, the son of Astor and Cleo (Abbott) Myers.

He was united in marriage June 2, 1979 in Brumley, Missouri to Mary Robinett, and together they enjoyed 35 years of marriage until his death.

Bob served his country proudly in the United States Navy during World War II and was honorably discharged upon completion of his service. Bob later worked as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.

Bob was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed , hunting and fishing, and tending to his garden. He loved his family more than anything and enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible.

Bob was a member of VFW Post 4956 of Crocker, Missouri and was a member of Rodden Church of Christ in Brumley.

Survivors include his wife Mary, of the home; three sons, Robert L. Myers, Jr. and wife, Sarah, of Montreal, Missouri, Barry Myers and wife, Lishie, of Columbia, Missouri, and Tim Howser and wife, Sophorn, of Holt's Summit, Missouri; one daughter, Debbie Bax of Jefferson City, Missouri; one brother, Virgil Malmeburg, of Granite City, Illinois; one sister, Helen Powderly and husband, David, of Granite City, Illinois; seventeen grandchildren; twenty six great-grandchildren; along with several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Astor and Cleo Myers; and two daughters, Kathy Roark and Mary Myers.
