Vernell Drazkowski, 80, of Winona, died Monday, April 4, 2016 at Lake Winona Manor.

Vernell was born March 17, 1936 in Fountain City, WI to Edward and Hazel (Hermann) Buchholz. She graduated from Fountain City High School and spent many of her younger years helping out on her parents' farm.

On February 19, 1955 she married Thomas J. Drazkowski and together they had 3 children.

Vernell worked at EB's Corner for many years where she became well known for her hamburgers and fed many people at lunch time. For several years, she provided lots of love in her home providing day care services for her grandchildren and many other children who also called her Grandma.

Vernell enjoyed playing bingo, camping in her younger years, and raising her family.

Vernell is survived by her children, Sherry (Dean) Murray of Rochester, Tom (Rose) Drazkowski of Winona, and Dar (Tom) Pozanc of Winona; grandchildren, Garry (Alisa) Grover of Rochester, Eugene (Stephanie) Grover of Rochester, Kodee (Kat) Drazkowski of Shelbyville, Kentucky, Nikki (Tyler) Cunningham of Redwing, and Jessica (Josh) Angst of Winona; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Aaron, Christian, Gabrielle, Aubrey, Griffin, and Evelynn; the beloveds who called her grandma, Danny, Mathew, Jacob, Courtney, and Emily; three sisters, Muriel Fremstad of Pigeon Falls, WI, Elaine Stiehl of Arcadia, WI, and Sandy (Carl) Dailey of Fountain City, WI; one brother, Ed (Jeanne) Buchholz, Jr of Taylor, WI; brother-in-law, James Drazkowski of Knoxville, TN; sister-in-law, Shirley Drazkowski of Rollingstone and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas on March 2, 2016; her parents; three sisters, Lillian, Janice and Thelma; one brother-in-law, Joseph Drazkowski.

A gathering of family and friends will be 4-7 p.m., Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center - Goodview.
