Virginia Catherine Mutch (nee Moore), age 93, of Mentor passed away March 25 at her home.
She was born January 29, 1923 in Cleveland.
Mrs. Mutch worked as a secretary at Halle Brothers and then Pickards Mather Independent Leasing. She attended St. Philip Neri Elementary School, John Hayes High School and Dyke Business School. Virginia was a Mentor resident for more than 60 years.
Survivors are her sons, Michael and David Mutch; several grandchildren; and her sister, Louise Hoste.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Freeman; son, Thomas; parents, Cyrus and Louise Moore; brothers, Albert and Ralph Moore; and her sister, Margaret Jersen.
Private family interment will be at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon.
Arrangements entrusted to the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home.
Daughter of Cyrus Louis Moore (17 Feb 1895 Cleveland OH--7 Apr 1927 Cleveland) and Louise Rosequist (24 Aug 1897 Cleveland--31 Oct 1977 Willoughby OH). Louise was later married to Matthew Jackson and is also buried in this cemetery. Cyrus is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Cleveland.
Granddaughter of Albert Moore (Dec 1871 Canada--24 Dec 1932 Lyndhurst OH) and Margaret Sheridan (11 Aug 1867 Ireland--28 Aug 1944 South Euclid OH, dau of Edward Sheridan. They are also buried in Calvary Cemetery.
