Mrs. Gladys James, 51, of Union community near Lawson, died Friday at Research hospital, after being in the hospital five weeks. She was born February 20, 1905 in Taitsville, Mo., and lived practically all her life in Ray county.
She was married to Albert James.
Mrs. James was a member of the Union Christian Union church.
She was a member of Rebekah Lodge of Lawson.
Surviving are her husband, Albert James of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Jean Adkins of Platte City, MO; Mrs. Bonnie June Logan of Kansas City; her mother, Nettie Wise of Lawson, MO; one brother, Charley Wise of Twin Falls, Id.; seven sisters, Mrs. Lovita Goodman of Fort Worth, Tex.; Mrs. Mable Albright of Lawson, Mo.; Mrs. Abbie Moss of Polo, Mo.; Mrs. Iva Welfelt of DeSoto, Kans., Mrs. Maude Meyers of Commerce, Okla.; Mrs. Bertha Dagley of Sterling, Colo.; Mrs. Stella Hankins of Lawson, Mo.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Christian Union church, in the Union community. Jarman-Prichard Funeral Home was in charge.
