Charles C. Talbott was an organizer of elevator and farm supply cooperatives in North Dakota. He was a founder of the North Dakota Farmers Union and served as president from 1927 to 1937.

He also helped organize the Farmers Union Terminal Association, later known as the Grain Terminal Association, and the Farmers Union Central Exchange (CENEX). He served as the first president of CENEX from 1931 to 1937.

Talbott was known as "The Great Organizer".

Clyde's son Glen J. Talbott served as president of the NDFU from 1937 to 1961.
