Vernita Marie Linenberger, 82, Eads, Colorado passed away March 11th, 2016 at Weisbrod Nursing Home.

She was born May 15th, 1933 in LaCrosse, Kansas. She was the daughter of John and Bernadine Depperschmidt. She was the youngest of ten children.

On November 25th, 1952, Vernita married Eugene H. Linenberger in Liebenthal, Kansas. They resided in Albert, Kansas before moving to Belton, Missouri. She was a homemaker, wife and mother. She enjoyed baking, sewing and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, brothers Eugene, Alfred and Harold and sisters Louise, Edna and JoAnn.

Survivors include two daughters Gail Schmidt and husband Dennis of Peculiar, Missouri and Gloria Barlow and husband Keith of Eads, Colorado; a brother Pat Depperschmidt of LaCrosse, Kansas; sisters Viola Enslinger of LaCrosse, Kansas and Esther Enslinger, Derby, Kansas; two grandchildren Jarrod Barlow and Meagan Embry; five great-grandchildren Madison, Kinsey and Mason Barlow, Breckin Embry and Hope Embry.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Rosary at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 16th, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 17th, at St. Sabina Catholic Church, 700 Trevis, Belton, Missouri 64012. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
