She was born Nov. 25, 1925, in La Crosse to John and Bernadine Depperschmidt.
She married Edward F. Rupp on Dec. 30, 1946, in Hutchinson. She was a homemaker, wife and mother. She was a member of St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church.
Survivors include four sons, Jack Rupp and wife, Carolyn, Osborne, Idaho, Lance Rupp and wife, Jeanne, Duane Rupp and wife, Marianne, and Dee Rupp and wife, Karen, all of Garden City; a daughter, Tammy Deterding and husband, Mark, Hays; a brother, Pat Depperschmidt, La Crosse; three sisters, Viola Enslinger, La Crosse, Esther Enslinger, Wichita, and Vernita Linenberger, Kansas City, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Wayne Rupp, in 1962; three brothers, Eugene, Harold and Alfred; and two sisters, Edna and Joanna.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church, Hays; burial at 2 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends can call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, both at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1906 Pine. A parish vigil service will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
