J. T. Rushing, age 73, of White Hall died Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 26, 1942 in Rison, a son of the late A. B. Rushing and Allie Belle Garner Rushing.
Mr. Rushing was a retired electrician and welder for many years. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Rushing enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Roger Rushing, Michael Wayne Rushing, Buddy Rushing, Havis Rushing; two sisters, Christine Wiley, Emmer Lawerence.
Survivors include his wife, Delores Carrington Rushing of White Hall; sons, Terry Rushing and Jerry Rushing, both of Pine Bluff, Randy Riggs of Georgetown, Ohio; daughters, Cindy Spangler of Conway, Vickie Bradley of Georgetown, Ohio; brother, Gary Rushing of Pine Bluff; sisters, Shirley Beatty, Patricia Rushing and Charlotte Best, all of Pine Bluff; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Buie Funeral chapel in Rison with Danny Everette officiating.
Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Glendale.
Visitation will be 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service.
Pallbearers are Joey Rushing, Jeremy Bradley, Brandon Rushing, Brent Spangler, Tyler Spangler and Dustin Rushing.
