Margaret Sartin Weiss, 71, of Roanoke, passed away Friday, June 25, 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband, Berlin Lee Weiss, and brothers, J.W., "Punkin", Basil, and Oakley Sartin. Mrs. Weiss was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. Surviving are, her son, Warren W. Weiss of Roanoke; daughter, Margaret E. Buchanan, Roanoke; grandchildren, Molly Spotts and Steven Weiss both of Charleston, S.C.; great-grandchildren, Matthew Joshua Weiss, Andrew Gregory Spotts, Jared Lee Weiss, Landon Harrison Spotts, and Gavin Joseph Weiss; brothers, Donald Sartin, of Rocky Mount; Alvin Sartin, Salem; Pat Sartin, Giles County; sisters, Dreama Page, Troutville; Linda Craft, Roanoke; Joann Sartin, Salem; Estelle Skeens, and Ruth Stafford both of Roanoke. The family would like to offer their special thanks to the staff at Richfield Nursing Home, Gentle Shepherd Hospice and the Rev. Gene Stafford. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2004 at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, by the Rev. Gene Stafford. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Simpson Funeral Home, 366-0707.
