Swedish matriarch. Bengta is a Scanian short form for Benedicta. She was born in East Brody and became Mrs. Per Nilsson (his second wife). She gave birth to two sons and five daughters, of whom two daughters started branches of the family locally and one in Denmark. She lived in Mala Village. She suffered from a nervous condition which worsened toward the end of her life.
