Swedish-American pioneer. He was originally Nils Truedsson and born in the village of Grantinge in Stoby, near Hässleholm, in the southernmost Swedish province of Scania ("Skåne"). He grew up in the neighboring village of North Sandby. He emigrated to Nebraska in the 1870's via Germany, where he had married Margaretha Hansen and their eldest child was born. His homestead at Blair, near Omaha, was the seat of the subsequent spread of the Truhlsen branch of the greater Trued Family throughout America, this through his sons Peter F. Truhlsen and Henry "Spike" Truhlsen, and daughters Anna Jensen and Lena Siert. He was interred on December 9, 1921. His sister Anna T. Hansen is also to be found among the buried in this cemetery.
