Swedish-American matriarch. She was born in the southernmost Swedish province of Scania ("Skåne") and a pioneer as Mrs. Peter L. Hansen. She emigrated to Nebraska in the 1880's via Germany, where she had married Hansen and their eldest child was born. After a few years in Illinois, they ran a boarding house in Omaha and also had ties to Blair, Nebraska, where her brother, Niels Truhlsen, had his homestead. She and her husband founded a huge branch of the greater Trued Family, through three of their daughters, Lena Richter, Dora Stowe, Clara Nickell and Margaret A. Sullivan, though the Hansen name did not survive in this family past the death of their elder son, Louis, in Omaha in 1939. She was interred on November 28, 1922. Her brother is also to be found among the buried at Blair. Two of her great-granddaughters Lois Myers and Mildred Sorber traveled to a big Trued Family reunion the Swedish village of her birth in 1989.
