OBIT - "Emma Moreland Services Tomorrow" - Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Moreland, 85, who moved to Truth or Consequences from Eunice about two weeks ago, will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church at Monument. Mrs. Moreland died, in her home, at Truth or Consequences Friday afternoon. A long-time resident of Lea County. Mrs. Moreland moved to tis area with her late husband a half century ago and the couple homesteaded in the Pearl community several miles west of present-day Monument. Mrs. Moreland moved to Eunice about 10 years ago. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. W. G. Brown, of Farmington; two sons, Edwin Moreland of Eunice and Gordon Moreland of El Centro, Calif.; seven grand children; and 16 great grandchildren. The Rev. Warren Butler, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Monument, will officiate. Burial will be in the Monument Cemetery. Griffin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
