Deaths.

Died, on Thursday, the 19th Dec. Jos. B. Isler, oldest son of Dr. Jesse Isler, of this village, in the 11th year of his age. A few days previous to this sad event, this interesting youth was in the full enjoyment of health and cheerfulness, but suddenly he was cut down and consigned to an early grave. On Friday night preceding his death, he accidentally fell into a vat of hot water prepared for scalding hogs, and was so severely burnt, that it caused his death in a few days.—This melancholy event, which has cast a gloom over the happiness of an estimable family, will long be lamented by a numerous circle of friends and relations.—Oxford Examiner.

—Published in Raleigh Register and North Carolina Gazette, Tuesday, January 21, 1834, p. 3.
