Mrs. Mary Irene (Clever) Cornman, 73, widow of S.W. Cornman, Sr., 450 North Grant Avenue, died at 15 a.m. (Feb. 14, 1961) at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Anthony McIltrol, Oak Park Lane, New Castle RD 2. She was born Oct., 14, 1887, in Washington Township, Armstrong County, a daughter of Adam and Caroline Johns Croyle. Her first husband, Benjamin G. Clever, died Dec. 13, 1938. Her second husband S. W. Cornman, Sr., died in June 1960. Surviving are the following children, Mrs. McKinley (Louella) Wilfe, Butler; Mrs. Russell (Grace) George, Akron, Ohio; Fred Ivan Clever, Kittanning; Mrs. John (Ruby) Slagle, Kittanning; Mrs. Roy (Avanelle) Robinson, Templeton; Joseph Clever, Adrian; Mrs. Anthony (Edith) McIltrol, Mrs. Woodward (Sarah) Snyder and John Clever, all of New Castle; 32 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Jess Armahizer, Adrian; two brothers, Joseph Croyle, Adrian and Fred Croyle, Cowansville. Friends may call at Merwin funeral home. Family visitation hours are Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday 3:30 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.). Funeral services will be held at the Concord Presbyterian Church, at 2 Friday afternoon. Rev. Raymond Taylor, pastor of Reesedale Church of God, will conduct the service. Burial will be made in the Concord cemetery.
