"Ruby Frances Stanley, 91, died in her Newberg home March 18, 1992.
She was born the daughter of Charles and Hattie (Nowels) Edgar [should be Charles Edgar and Hattie (Clark) Nowels] on Nov. 10, 1900, in Rensselner, Ind.
She lived in Monticello, Ind., until she was 6 and then moved with her family to Longmont, Colo.
After graduating from high school, she attended business school and then went to work in the office of the Coca-Cola Company in Denver, Colo. She also worked for Montgomery Ward Company in Denver.
In 1920, she married Frank Jozwick. They had two children, William Charles and Patricia Ann. Her husband died in 1948.
In 1951, she moved to Richland, Wash., and in 1952, she married Edison B. Stanley. They moved to Newberg in 1955, where they both worked in the real estate business.
Her husband died in June 1970.
In 1974, she moved into Friendsview Manor. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, serving as an elder and was also a member of the Newberg Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Wednesday and Friendly clubs and the Delta Sigma Chi study club.
Survivors include her stepchildren, . . .; six grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her children, one brother and two sisters.
Services were Saturday at Attrell's Newberg Chapel with Bob Knowles, a former pastor of the First Presybterian Church, officiating.
