Hattie B. Nowels Taken by Death
Mrs. Hattie B. Nowels, long-time resident of Longmont, died in a Longmont hospital at 6:45 a.m. today, as a result of a stroke suffered at her home, 342 Emery street, Friday.
Mrs. Nowels, who was taken to the hospital Friday, had been in failing health for the past year.
She was born in Rensselaer, Indiana, November 23, 1872. An active member in the Methodist church here, she also was a member of Capitol Hill club.
Her husband, Charles E. Nowels, died in June, 1928.
Surviving relatives are one son, Charles Raimon Nowels of Longmont; one daughter, Mrs. Ruby Jozwick, Denver; one sister, Mrs. Effie Dougherty, Rensselaer, Indiana; one brother-in-law, H.G. Nowels, Longmont, and three grandchildren, CBM Frank Jozwick, USN, Philadelphia; William Jozwick and Mrs. Robert Quigley, Denver.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Lewellen Funeral home, Rev. Gabriel S. Upton officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View cemetery.
