Death Of William Siler
Following an illness dating back three years, William Siler, aged 76 years, resident of Carthage 30 years,
died on Wednesday night of last week, having failed to regain consciousness after an attack of paralysis, which came upon him July 24th. Mr. Siler was a native of Ripley township and a birthright Quaker. He was employed for many years as chief engineer at the strawboard and box factory. He was married twice - first to Maggie Harvey, who before her death, bore him three children, only one of whom, Mrs. Audie Jones, Anderson, is living. His second wife was Mae Dubois. One son, William Siler, Jr., Sacramento Calif., was born to this union. The widow, son and daughter, and two step-sons survive.
