David William Waltz, 78, of Medina, O., a retired painter, died at 8:25 a.m. today at the home of his son, Arthur J. Waltz of 420 North Washington avenue, whom he had been visiting since last Thursday. He had been ill two weeks. Mr. Waltz had lived in Battle Creek for about 43 years before moving to Medina nine years ago. He was born Nov. 6, 1867, in Oakland, Md., the son of Benjamin and Lydia (White) Waltz. His wife, Murtie Belle, died here June 10, 1929. Besides his son, he is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Mamie Eaton and Mrs. Minnie Reid of Wolf, Wyo., and Mrs. Titia Wallace of Medina, O.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
