Glen Elwin Thomas

Glen Elwin Thomas, age 88, of Santaquin, Utah, passed away February 17, 2016, in Payson, Utah. He was born July 13, 1927, in Goshen, Utah, to Wilford Sherwin and Ruth Rowe Thomas. Glen married Madge Elaine Jensen on January 5, 1968 in Las Vegas, Nevada.


Glen was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Navy. He retired from Geneva Steel after 33 years. He also enjoyed working on his farm. He loved being together with his family fishing, hunting and camping and was a great supporter of high school rodeo and 4-H. He was a handyman and his family will treasure the small trinkets he made for them.


He is survived by his wife, Madge, of Santaquin; children, Max (Lisa) Kay, Marilyn (Steele) Coombs, both of Santaquin, Jerry (Kathy) Thomas, Spanish Fork, Janet (Kevin) Patterson, Idaho. He was also loved by all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters, Ruthella Christensen, Anita Allen, Joann Dunn, Sherry Bell, Leann Larsen, and a sister-in-law, Louise Thomas. He was preceded in death by a sister Olive, and brothers Nate, Neil and Don.
