Ivan G. Aten, 75, of Factoryville died at Geisinger C.M.C, Scranton on Feb. 14, 2016. Born in Newton Ransom on June 26, 1940; the son of the late Floyd and Catherine Courtright Aten. Ivan was a day short of being married to the former Gloria Beck for 52 years, Feb. 15, 1964.
Ivan served his country in the United States Army. He drove truck for Aten Supply, Novitch Trucking, and New England Motor Freight; drove bus for Richards School Bus Service, but his favorite job was babysitting his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ivan was preceded in death by two brothers Charles and Garcy; two sisters Dorothy Cassidy and Ella Best.
Ivan is survived by three daughters Catherine Minick of West Nicholson, Sandra Fulkersin, Betty Jo Bergey, and a son Kenneth Aten all of Factoryville, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, a brother Charlton of S.C, several nieces and nephews; two step brothers William and Ed Frederici, and a stepsister Pat Franko.
Services are private and at the convenience of the family. Services are entrusted to Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes, Inc., Factoryville.
