Samson Steele died at 7 o’clock yesterday evening at his home, Indian Springs, aged 87 years. Surviving are: Daughters, Mrs. Catherine Salmon, Clearspring; Mrs. Idella Buckleman, Ohio; Mrs. Emma Edgars, Arlington, Va., and Miss Elsie Steele, at home; sons, William Steele, Blairs Valley and Frederick Steele, at home and sister, Mrs. Ella Gehr, Shanktown. Private funeral services Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Snyder-Royland funeral home in Clearspring by the Rev. William Murray. Interment in the Forsythe cemetery.
