Susanna Lena Houser was the daughter of Isaac Wesley Houser and Eleanor Brink. Her nickname was Anna. She married first David John Smith and they were the parents of nine children. Dave died in the Catfish coal mine. Anna married Charles Christopher "Christ" Ruffaner about 1872. She was a member of the East Brady Methodist Church for many years.
