Clinton Crabtree, age 71, of Shelbina, MO, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016, at his home near Shelbina.
He was born May 10, 1944, in West Plains, MO, the son of Adam Henry and Mary Elizabeth Morgan Crabtree. On March 28, 1964, he was united in marriage to Darline Mae Dane at St. Louis, MO. She survives.
Clinton is also survived by four children, Larry Crabtree and wife Georgana of O’Fallon, MO, Ronald Crabtree of Shelbina, MO, James Crabtree and wife Kristin of Wright City, MO and Dana Spreckelmeyer and husband Edward of Berger, MO; five grandchildren, Jennifer Tippit, Marissa Crabtree, Cash Crabtree, Lylah Crabtree and Esdon Spreckelmeyer; one great-granddaughter, Ella Tippitt and one brother, Leonard Crabtree and wife Beverly of Clarence, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Roy Crabtree, Everett Crabtree, Mae Crabtree, Ervin Crabtree, Ray Crabtree, Ruth Howard, Nathan Crabtree and one stillborn baby boy.
Clinton was a 1963 graduate of Shelbyville High School. He was a Christian by faith and was baptized at the First Christian Church in St. Ann, MO. He was employed by Ford Motor Company for 40 years, was a member of UAW Local 325 and NRA. He loved camping, fishing, hunting, reading and tinkering with machines and engines. He enjoyed mowing his property and maintaining it. Clinton and Darline looked forward to going to lunch every day to socialize with friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, MO, with burial to follow at Shelby Memorial Cemetery in Shelbyville, MO. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday at the Funeral Home in Shelbina. Memorials may be made to Neighbors Helping Neighbors.
