Emma Jane John, 82, of Stone Avenue, Templeton died at 9:45 a.m. Thursday, March 5, 1981 at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. Born March 29, 1898 in Oak Ridge, she was the daughter of James and Nora Alice (Schrecengost) Miller. She was a member of the Templeton United Methodist Church. Her husband, Arnold Steewart John died in 1967. Surviving are a son, Oscar John of Rochester; two daughters, Mrs. Bartley (Lucy) Sherman of Templeton and Mrs. Blaine (Helen) Kaufman of Spring Church; a sister, Mrs. Harry (Pearl) Householder of Kittanning; a brother, Fred Miller of Grand Rapids MI, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 7, 1981 at 1:30 p.m. at the John R. Kennedy Funeral Home, Kittanning with the Rev. William C. Filer, pastor of the Templeton United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Cochran Cemetery.
