She is recorded as married three times, the first to George Courtnell Jr., the date of that marriage only "well before 1682", and he is noted as dying in 1682 in Northumberland County. Her second marriage was to John Lewis, that marriage about 1682/3, and the third to Richard Price in 1699. All three records are found in "Marriages of the Northern Neck", and note all the above, her as a widow ("relic") in the first two marriages, the death of George as noted, and her as "the likely eldest daughter" of John and Susanna, with the marriage records, making her year of birth about 1660.

Mary's Children:

John Lewis II (1683-1735)
William Lewis (1684-1719)
Mary Ann* Lewis Clayton* Damerill*(b. 1685)
James Lewis (1687-1748)
Elizabeth Lewis Toon (1690-1717)
Arjalon Richard Price (1702-1773)

* Some marriage records from Northumberland have alternate spellings for Mary's two husbands, Claughton and Dameron, and one notes her as Ann, daughter of John Lewis and Mary Garner. The spellings shown above are as per her will.

Mary's will, written in Dec of 1724, was executed in St. Stephan's Parish in Northumberland County on 20 April 1726, likely passed in 1725, as it takes time to execute her Will, taking into account inventory and expenses to be paid from her estate. In it, she refers to herself as simply "Mary Price", but the Northumberland Record Book notes her with her maiden and all three married names.

Mary Garner was the child of John Garner (1633-1702) and his wife Susanna Keene (Garner). Mary was born in Northumberland, County, Virginia. Subsequently, her parents John and Susanna Garner settled in Westmoreland County, Virginia, north of Northumberland County.

The exact date of Mary's birth is unknown (I have not found documentation such as baptismal records, etc.). She was most likely born circa 1660, as her first husband died in 1682, making her age about age 22 in 1682. If Mary were born circa 1660, she would have been about 66 years old when she died in 1726.

Regarding the date of Mary's death: (St. Stephens Parish, Northumberland County, Virginia)
As her will was probated April 20, 1726.....she most likely died earlier in that year. As I have found no documentation with the exact date of her death. Mary's inventory was recorded in 1726, Northumberland County, Virginia. Inventories were generally conducted shortly after death to promptly give an accounting to the heirs..

____________________________________________________________

Mary was given a thumb ring in her father John Garner's will (January 22, 1702) and a looking glass by her brother Benjamin Garner's will (March 31, 1718).

Mary was married three times. Her first husband was George Courtnell , who died in Northumberland County, Virginia, circa 1682. (George Courtnell is mentioned in Mary Garner Courtnell Lewis Price's grandmother Mary Thorley- Keene- Raynor- Broughton's will dated Jan 2, 1662, possibly as a joint executor.) It is unclear if Mary and George Courtnell had children.

Mary Garner married as her second husband John Lewis ( John died in Northumberland County, Virginia, circa 1697). Mary and John Lewis were married before 18 Oct 1682. Mary and John Lewis had fourchildren: John Lewis, William Lewis, and James Lewis, and Mary Lewis.

Mary Garner married as her third husband: Richard Price. Mary and Richard Price were married before 22 July 1699. They had one son, Colonel Arjalon Price. Arjalon moved to Orange County, Virginia. A will for Arjalon Price was recorded in Orange County, Virginia in 1773.

On March 15, 1720, Mary Price, James Lewis and Thomas Ashburn gave bond against the estate of William Price deceased. On the same day Mary Price was granted administration of the estate of William Price.
(It is unclear who "William Price" was. Was he a son by her third husband Richard Price? More research is needed to identify this "William Price". Mary had a son "James Lewis", mentioned above, by her second husband John Lewis.(It is possible that this was for Mary's son " William Lewis", who predeceased her, not "William Price".....however more research is needed on this.)

Mary's children:
1. John Lewis (son of Mary Garner and John Lewis)
2. William Lewis (son of Mary Garner and John Lewis)
3. James Lewis (son of Mary Garner and John Lewis)
4. Mary Lewis Claughton Damerill ( daughter of Mary Garner and John Lewis...... Mary Lewis' first husband was Pemberton Claughton (Clayton), her 2nd husband was Joseph Damerill)
5. Colonel Arjalon Price (son of Mary Garner and Richard Price)

Mary's Grandchildren:
1. Ann Lewis ( daughter of William Lewis and Elizabeth Longworth Cox)
2. Elizabeth Lewis Toon ( daughter of William Lewis and Eliz. L. Cox) Elizabeth Lewis married Mark Toon of Richmond County, Virginia.
3. Vincent Lewis ( son of William Lewis and Elizabeth Longworth Cox)
4. Pemberton Claughton (Clayton) Jr., (son of Mary Lewis and her 1st husband Pemberton Claughton, Sr.)
5. Mary Damerill (daughter of Mary Lewis and her 2nd husband Joseph Damerill)
6. Arjalon Price (son of Colonel Arjalon Price)

Great grandchildren:
Lewis Toon (Tune), son of Mary Garner's granddaughter Elizabeth Lewis Toon .

Mary left a will (Northumberland R.B. 19, p. 388, dated December 26, 1724, probated April 20, 1726.)
Witnesses: George Rout, Martha Rout, and William Rout
