ROBERT S. ABEL JR., 84, of Southaven, retired self-employed salesman, died Saturday at Memphis Veterans Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Christ the King Catholic Church in Southaven, where he was a communicant, with burial in Calvary. Forest Hill Funeral Home South has charge. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Knights of Columbus, and a World War II Army veteran. He leaves a brother, Charles Abel of New Orleans. The family requests that memorials be sent to Christ the King Catholic Church.
