James L. Curtin
PHILIPSBURG --James Lattimore Curtin, 71, of Bellefonte, died at Brierly Manor,
Buffalo Run Valley, Sunday at 7 pm. He had been a guest at the home since November 1st and had been seriously ill since last Sunday.
Mr. Curtin who formerly lived in Philipsburg where he was an accountant for Lauderbach-Greist for 25 years, made his home with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Richard T. Baney of 307 East Linn street, Bellefonte, for the past two years.
Mr. Curtin graduated from Bellefonte Academy and Oklahoma A and M. He was a veteran of
the Spanish-American War, and a member of Philipsburg Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held at the Kuhlman Funeral Home, Bellefonte, at 1:30 pm today.
Burial was in the Philipsburg cemetery with Rev. C. A. L Bickell of the Philipsburg Methodist
Church officiating the funeral.
Note ~ College was "Oklahoma Territorial Agricultural and Mechanical (A&M)"
According to the 2002 Centre County Veterans Affairs regarding Veterans Burial of page 86, James is buried in the Philipsburg Cemetery, Philipsburg, Centre County, Pennsylvania.
