Mrs. Nettie Curtin
PHILIPSBURG --Mrs. Nettie Mable Curtin, 62, wife of James Latimer Curtin, 415 Pine street, Philipsburg , died at her home Saturday August 23rd at 8:50 pm. She had suffered a cerebral hemorrhage earlier in the day.

Born in Bellefonte, September 26, 1885, a daughter of the Rev. George and Hannetta Penepacker. Survivors are: her husband, James; 3 daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Hoffner of Philadelphia; Mrs. Margaret Baney of Bellefonte, and Mrs. Nora Miller of Corry, Pennsylvania; 3 grandchildren, Richard Baney, Karen and James Miller.

Nettie was a former teacher in Philipsburg grade schools for three years. She was also a member of the Amaranth Court and the Methodist Church of Philipsburg.

Funeral services will be held at her home Tuesday August 26th at 2:30 pm with Rev. Charles Bickell officiating. Interment will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery.

Harry VanScoyoc, Mrs. Lawrence Miller of Lincoln avenue and Mrs. H. D. Cree of the Farmers and Merchants apartments were in Curwensville on Tuesday attending the funeral services of their cousin, the late Mrs. Nettie M. Curtin.

Mrs. Matildia B. Swayne attended the funeral of her cousin, Mrs. J. L. Curtin at Philipsburg held last Tuesday. Mount Union friends regretted to hear of the death of Mrs. Curtin, who was
formerly Miss Nettie Penepacker, daughter of late Reverend George Penepacker, who was a former pastor of the First Methodist Church at Mount Union as well as the Fifteenth Street Methodist Church in Huntingdon. The Curtin-Penepacker wedding was solemnized in the old
church in Mount Union. Survivors are: the husband, James; 3 daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Hoffner of Philadelphia; Mrs. Margaret Baney of Bellefonte, Pennsylvania and Mrs. Nora Miller of Corry, Pennsylvania; as well as three grandchildren.
